Exciting new chapter in my life

The last several years have been challenging. In 2018 my wife and I returned to the United States in a hurry. I started accepting temporary jobs that required me to work long hours to earn enough to pay our bills. It's been that way until now.

Tomorrow, I start a new job with a major US government agency doing a job that I did for my home state government for ten years. I am excited and looking forward to getting started. This is challenging since the onboarding is being done entirely remotely. My work location changed since I received my final job offer and I don't know when I will be required to go down to my physical office to get my credentials and work computer. I also don't know whether I will be allowed to tele-commute during my first year of employment.

I have not been in contact with my actual manager; that identity has changed over the last two weeks. Oh well, we shall see.
